Before getting back on the road for additional shows with Hannah Aldridge this winter, Nicky William is celebrating the holiday season by releasing a couple of Christmas songs – starting with his melancolic yet encouraging interpretation of It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, out November 19 via Icons Creating Evil Art.

Talking about his new single, Nicky William says: ”We wanted to make a version of a classic but still add something new to it. In this song, we tried to add an uncertainty about whether the message in the song was ironic or not, hoping that the listener would have a different experience hearing the song, depending on how they feel about the holiday.”

While catching his breath after an extensive tour around Sweden, back-to-back with his label sister – the Nashville bred country star Hannah Aldridge – Nicky William released his new EP ’I Wanna Be Bad’ this summer. An EP where Nicky was pushing further in evolving his alternative folk-pop sound into an inovative, quirky and deeply heartfelt indie pop with elaborate lyrics and as always starring the remarkable, infinite voice of Nicky William.

Since the release of his debut album 'Set Your Loved Ones Free, We Have You Surrounded' in 2017, Swedish alt-folk artist Nicky William has spent his time maturing his sound capabilities with idiosyncratic alternative-folk and complex song-writing. Using old Americana, to the itchy and edgy outsiders to mould the alternative-folk sound that is entirely his own, the Swedish artist Nicky William dropped his EP ’I Want To Feel It All’ last year, followed by the brand new EP ’I Wanna be Bad’ including the singles 'Bad' and 'Weird Casting Choice'.
